Le***an, gay, and bisexual adults are twice as likely to use e-ci******es compared to straight adults. The stigma that many LGBTQ+ people face can cause extremely high levels of stress and may result in the development of unhealthy coping mechanisms. The to***co industry exploits the community by using tactics that hook LGBTQ+ people on its products, including advertising at pride festivals and LGBTQ+ community events. 🏳️‍🌈

We want to thank everyone who attended our Inaugural Small Business Conference on May 8th, 2026. Our goal with this event was to uplift local business owners and retailers by providing them with tools and strategies to initiate their business idea, recognize resources available to them, and identify alternatives that will positively benefit the community and their profits. Thank you to Golden 1 Bank, Olympus Financial Consulting, and Working Solutions CDFI for their presentations on how to prepare new and current small businesses on financial growth. We are grateful for their participation and support to small business owners in Kings County. Finally, thank you to Koinonia Church for providing the space for this event. It was uplifting to help our local business owners and we hope to continue offering future events!
