The Hancock Woman’s Club is open to all women in the Monadnock Region. We currently have a membership of women from all backgrounds who bring our Club a diversity of interests and talents. Meeting monthly from October to May, we offer

informative and entertaining programs along with the opportunity to contribute to the business and direction of the Club. Afterwards there is an opportunity to socialize and greet new members and guests. A Hospitality Committee prepares tantalizing treats that encourage people to linger and enjoy. We offer seasonal hikes and have had access to a private garden tour. The Club is dedicated to community service. We serve the town by creating and maintaining stunning flower boxes and beds and we adorn the town’s bandstand for Christmas with evergreen roping. We offer Welcome Baskets filled with locally made gifts and coupons to new residents. We have held major fundraising events such as the Historic Homes and Summer Gardens Tour and a Kitchen Tour featuring Hancock homes in order to support our Annual Scholarship for local woman seeking opportunities for career advancement or change. We also support local charities that benefit Hancock residents.

Our Story

The Hancock Woman’s Club, founded February 4, 1922, is open to all women in the Monadnock Region. We currently have a membership of over 100 women from all backgrounds who bring our Club a diversity of interests and talents. Meeting monthly from October to May, we offer informative and entertaining programs along with the opportunity to contribute to the business and direction of the Club. Afterwards there is an opportunity to socialize and greet new members and guests. A Tea Committee prepares tantalizing treats that encourage people to linger and enjoy. The Club is dedicated to community service. We serve the town by creating and maintaining stunning flower boxes and beds and we adorn the town’s bandstand for Christmas. Every year we host a Community Supper and every year we sponsor a fundraising Seasonal Concert. Bi-annually we hold a major fundraising event. Some events have been a Historic Homes and Summer Gardens Tour, a Kitchen Tour, and an afternoon Tea and Talks that raised money for local charities and our Annual Scholarship for local woman seeking opportunities for career advancement or change.
