Hale Halawai 'Ohana O Hanalei Hale Halawai ‘Ohana O Hanalei is a nonprofit organization inspired and guided by Hawaiian cultural values to create a haven for the community of Hanalei.

Established June 15, 1993, Hale Halawai Ohana O’ Hanalei was born from the long held dreams for a gathering place on the beautiful North Shore of Kaua’i. Owned and maintained by community volunteers, of all ages, and staff, the purpose of the center is to provide and sustain services and community activities on the North Shore of Kaua‘i. Our founding board’s priority was to construct a facility wh

ich would provide and sustain services and community activities. Community support and interest surged, resulting in the first privately funded community center in the state of Hawai’i. In 2002, with construction completed, the center was dedicated to celebrating, increasing the resources, and spirits of the people in the community.
