This summer we danced!
In community, for our spirits, for reconnection, for a challenge, for remembering who we are, for funsies!

Mahalo to Kekuhi Kealiikanakaole Hālau ʻŌhiʻa by Kekuhi and Kauila Kealiikanakaole for making the trek to Hāna every week for 10 weeks; for filling our cup, moving our bodies, chanting our voices, extracting our sweat and loving on us in gentle and firm ways.

With summer over, what now gang?
Just keep dancing, dancing dancing!

HĀNA KŪ ARCHERY!

It’s that time of year again! The 8th Annual Hāna Kū Archery Tournament is officially happening on Saturday, September 26th at Kāmoku!

Whether you’re a seasoned archer or bringing the keiki out for some fun. Come put your skills to the test on our 3D animal target course 🐗🦌🦃.

Saturday, Sept 26 (Registration opens at 8 AM)
Entry Fee: $35 Adults / $25 Keiki (15 & under)
Morning snack, lunch + raffle included.

Kauwela is in it’s last days and we are so grateful for our first two summer ʻawa interns. They worked super hard, rain or shine, got a glimpse of that ʻawa farm life, went on a huakaʻi to meet other ʻawa farmers but most of all spent quality time caring for Kāmoku. Mahalo nui Maui and Iokewe, you guys were hammahs this summer🔨🔨

Sending our aloha to all who have been impacted by the Kona low storm.

In times like these, we are reminded of the steadiness and deep aloha of our people and community. From sharing ice for coolers to meals with neighbors before the food goes bad—it was beautiful to witness our Hāna community in action.

Mahalo nui to all those on the ground who worked hard through it all—and are still working—to help keep our communities safe, the power on, and our roads open.
