Hamtramck Community Initiative The Mission of HCI is to revitalize our neighborhoods, reduce crime, and build community capacity.

1. Family & Basic Needs Support

Goal: Reduce daily life pressures on families.
• Monthly food pantry & essentials drive (food, diapers, hygiene).
• Emergency assistance fund (rent, utilities, medical co-pays).
• Winter coat & school supplies drives.
• Partner with local mosques, churches, and nonprofits for distribution.

Impact: Immediate relief for struggling families and seniors.

Peace and blessings be upon the noblest of messengers.

We extend our sincere thanks and deep appreciation to the esteemed businessman and President of the Hamtramck Community Initiative, Mr. Adnan Jubah, for the generous official invitation he extended to us. This invitation brought together a distinguished group of official and community leaders in the city of Hamtramck, including Mayor Adam Al-Harbi, his predecessor Dr. Amir Ghaleb, and Mr. Ibrahim Ayash, former State Representative and Chairman of the Democratic Caucus of Michigan, along with a number of public figures and community activists.

This gathering was held to honor Ms. Barbara, in recognition of her outstanding role and sincere contributions over many years in serving the city of Hamtramck without discrimination or distinction, embodying the values ​​of giving, commitment, and responsible humanitarian work.

This tribute reflected the spirit of cooperation and integration among official leaders, businesspeople, and civil society organizations, and affirmed that building and stabilizing communities can only be achieved through genuine partnership and collaborative efforts to serve both people and place.

The pioneering institutional role of the Hamtramck Community Initiative in promoting the values ​​of coexistence, building bridges of trust between the various segments of society, and supporting initiatives that have contributed to serving the city and its residents was also commended.
