r dogs such as straw pet, food & shelter for dogs . We help network dogs that need to be re- homed, advise and provide needed resources and troubleshooting to pet owners. We respond to all calls for dogs in need after hours when animal control is not avail. as well as anytime a citizen reaches out to us with guidance on how to handle a variety of situations in the immediate moment. We talk with people, educate & provide resources and local laws. We call on authorities to report concerns of animal abuse or neglect when law enforcement is needed,

We are also part of the volunteer transport team for Tidewater Wildlife and are listed in the top 3 animal rescue resources in Hampton roads and are always available to guide any situation be it a domestic animal or wildlife issue to which we direct as liaison for pleas for help to appropriate Wildlife Org for dispatch and Rescue. You can contact Blue Angels Dog Rescue, here: [email protected]. Blue Angel's name was created in honor of our first two rescues, beautiful blue nose Pitt Bull sisters, Paris Skye and Diamond. We are Pit Bull Advocates: Advocacy is a political process by an individual or group which aims to influence public-policy and resource allocation decisions within political, economic, and social systems and institutions. Advocacy can include many activities that a person or organization undertakes including media campaigns, public speaking, commissioning and publishing research or conducting exit poll or the filing of an amicus brief. Lobbying (often by lobby groups) is a form of advocacy where a direct approach is made to legislators on an issue which plays a significant role in modern politics.[1] Research has started unfolding how advocacy groups in the U.S.[2] and Canada[3] are using social media to facilitate civic engagement and collective action. We hope to educate the public to Pit Bull discrimination. Another hope is to to change laws to reverse Breed-Specific Legislation across the nation and make life better for this misunderstood breed. We've been working with a different local rescue for the past year. With great vision, we have branched out further and created Blue Angels Advocacy & rescue resource We are building a great network here in VA and have a great on-line network of volunteers and non-profit rescues to draw support from. We are a private Rescue depending solely on Donations at this time so we appreciate your support/ We are in the process of applying for a 501 non-profit. Thank you for liking and sharing this page. With your help we can continue to grow!

๐Ÿ’™ CRISIS TRANSPARENCY โ€” PROTECTING OUR BLUE ANGELS HOME BASE

There are some behind-the-scenes challenges in rescue that aren't always visible when we're sharing the dogs, and today I'm asking our Blue Angels family for help with one of them.

Our rescue property has a past-due property tax obligation of $838. Unfortunately, the tax notices were being mailed to our former Virginia address, so we were unaware of the balance until we discovered the issue.

I have been working with the assessor's office to resolve it, and the full $838 needs to be paid to clear this obligation.

This property is so much more than land. It is the home base of Blue Angels and the place that allows us to continue caring for dogs who have nowhere else to go.

The good news is that once this obligation is resolved,

Blue Angels will be exempt from property taxes going forward.!!!

This is an important one-time hurdle to protect an asset that will continue serving the rescue and the dogs for years to come.

Right now, we are $300 short of the $838 needed to make the full payment today. If we can raise that $300, we can get this obligation taken care of and protect the property.

Our larger fundraising goal is $1,500. Anything raised beyond the $838 will remain with Blue Angels and help with the ongoing food, veterinary and operational needs of the dogs.

I'm sharing this because transparency matters to me. Rescue isn't only about the dogs we post. There are also the less-visible expenses and responsibilities that have to be handled to keep the doors open and the dogs safe.

Sometimes saving the dogs means protecting the place that gives them a safe place to land. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿพ
If you can help us reach this goal, we would be incredibly grateful. And if you aren't able to donate, sharing this post is just as valuable.

Thank you for standing beside Blue Angels through all of rescueโ€”not just the heartbreaking stories, but the behind-the-scenes work that makes saving these dogs possible. ๐Ÿ’™
