Hampton news 2026 was a great time had by all. It was wonderful community come together for one fun weekend. We had a great weather this year, which was a relief for everyone. The car show was a large turn out as well with so many amazing cars. I believe we had someone catch a 21in cat fish!
I want to send a huge shout to an amazing clerk deputy per Michelle and Julie, a public director Eric, our car show workers Wendi & Emma, our Trustees Marty for helping with craft vendor show, LouAnn for helping with the food vendors, Steffanie for helping serve food and drinks and our Mayor Chris and his family for running the fishing derby. A big thank you to our Hampton Fire and Rescue crew for the amazing pancake breakfast. Hampton days would not have been possible without you all!
Thank you Nancy Nielsen and the crew from Mid-American Energy volunteer group for helping to make sure our cars all knew where to go and keeping everyone safe. Thank you to Hy-Vee in Silvis for donating their grill and helping us cook the food. Thank you to the Silvis Walmart for donating the bikes for our raffle.
Unfortunately with some changes in my job I had to take a step back this year and ask for help. Our amazing staff and board members stepped up and ensured Hampton Days 2026 was a large success.
