Flora Anns is proud to announce another year of partnership with Eddie White Academy.

Led by the amazing Dr. Micki Harris, EWA is truly a shining example of excellence and growth. The school continues to set high standards, not only in academics but also in character, leadership, and community involvement. Students are thriving, teachers are dedicated, and the entire school community works together to create an environment where success is the norm. The progress and accomplishments at Eddie White Academy are nothing short of magnificent, reflecting a commitment to preparing students for bright and impactful futures.

COMMUNITY: We are in need of new and gently used uniforms. All sizes. Specifically pants, khaki or black. If you are able to look through your closest or your children’s closets and donate please let me know!

Update: Yesterday we raised $200 to go towards the mother who needed assistance with her light bill. The funds were sent to the schools liason to protect the parent’s privacy. Thank you to everyone who donated. I know there were some others who wanted to donate, I’ll reach out to you today.

This brought on an idea.

The week of October 12-18, I’m asking for us (everyone this message reaches) to consider joining me in a week of PAYING IT FORWARD. I know Clayton County is out of school so it’s the perfect opportunity to get your children involved as well.

I’m asking that everyone do something to pay it forward. It doesn’t matter how nor does it have to be a certain amount/size, just give back to your community.

Examples:
- Leave a larger than normal tip
- Visit a nursing home and give out hugs
- Cover the person behind you tab in a drivethru
- Help take groceries to someone’s car
- Cut a neighbors grass
- Pray for/with someone (a stranger even)
- Make dinner for a family
- Cover a college students books for the next semester

I know that most of the ppl I associate with already do this on a regular basis but I’m asking that we do it collectively in memory of my GranGran , the late Flora Harris, who’s earthly birthday would have been October 15th. She’s one of the reasons I created Flora Anns and in light of my return to GA I wanted to do something special.

Im also aware of the climate that we live in and understand the need to be cautious. Do what feels right and stay safe.

If you are able to part of this initiative feel free to post pictures, make post, or simple say Done under this post or tag us. This is not to embarrass anyone or spread anyones business but merely to spread love and kindness.

I was contacted by a local clayton county school that I partner with and we have a parent who is due any day now and her lights are scheduled for disconnection. Her bill is $326. If you are able to assist with anything to go towards this bill it would be greatly appreciated. Our budget has been depleted for the year but I’m willing to donate from my personal funds.
