Golden Thimble Needlecraft Guild Our mission is “Preserving the Art of Needlecraft”. Golden Thimble is a 50+ year independent Guild meeting in Hampton, Virginia. The Guild meets at 10:00 a.m.

The Golden Thimbles Needlecraft Guild is an independent guild located in Hampton, Virginia for 50 years. on the second Tuesday of each month, September through May. We meet at LibertyLive church at 1021 Big Bethel Road. We have had programs on knitting, crochet, beading, quilting, cross stitch, silk thread embroidery, punch needle, crewel embroidery, hardanger, and quilling to name a few. This page is to share our love of needlework and is not a forum for selling.

To GTNG of course! Big or small - we appreciate it all!

The Guild maintains a “Sidewalk Table” where:

• Materials are available to supplement materials for monthly member’s classes.

• Members can find supplies for that “new to them” craft they’ve been wanting to try.

• Yarns are available for members to knit, crochet, felt, etc for the annual “Caps for Kids” giveaway to a local elementary school.

Your donation of craft supplies is always greatly appreciated & supports our motto of “Preserving the Art of Needlecraft”.

Well, that was fast! GTNG’s Sashiko & Tunisian Crochet classes are at full capacity. The English Paper Piecing (EPP) pin cushion and a second Bead Embroidery class has a few vacancies. Members should reach out quickly to Iris Labuda if you would like to register for any of the remaining programs.

The October 13 Sashiko class for GTNG members is just a few weeks away. Please note the registration deadline is quickly approaching on TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 22. You may choose to mail-in your registration with a check to Iris Labuda of the Program Committee or bring it to the September 22 Sit & Stitch (aka the deadline) at Liberty Live.

This one has been on my “learn list” for quite a bit. It’s gonna be a blast!!
