J-1 Work and Travel South Eastern U.S.

J-1 Work and Travel South Eastern U.S. This is a general help and information page for J-1 Work and Travel Participants coming to the Southeastern U.S. during their program.

After befriending 30 Work and Travel participants set to Hampton by a couple of sponsors in May of 2004 I learned of the program. These 30 unfortunately were placed at a job and under a manager that thought of the program simply as a form of cheap labor and nothing more. They had many issues and I was happy that our paths crossed and I was able to help them. While most left and went to various are

as once they found the courage to reach out to their sponsors, a small group of about 10 stayed and we had a wonderful summer so many happy times, a couple of years later we even had a reunion in Moscow. I am still in touch with a couple of them and will always cherish that summer. From March 2005 thru September 2015 I worked for a designated sponsor. I have traveled to more than 15 Countries and have assisted in placing and monitoring over 15,000 participants in my 10 1/2 years with that sponsor. I believe in the program and have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. Finding true love, growing and crossing over into adulthood, hit by cars, put in jail, and unfortunately even death. I am here to help and guide participants on their journeys. For employers: I am happy to answer general program questions. For those thinking of participating in the program or that maybe having issues that are not being resolved with their current POC's for the program.
