Tim met Mr. Morgan in 2017, visited him in his home in Jamaica (taking flowers to his wife for her birthday), and was very excited to see him again this year. He was able to get him to sign his poster. I will be going through lots of memorabilia in the coming weeks. Supernova Alliance will host an online auction once we are able to get some things together (including artwork, setlist, signed posters, etc. (all from our personal collection). Please be patient, I'm trying to give my family and our community time to process this deep loss. So many have reached out and sent kind words and gifts. The outpouring of love has been incredible. There is still a fundraiser for the Alliance. Tim and I started the non-profit to help with the festival programming, but also to work independently. Ska'ducation was his idea several years ago. More changes/updates soon. You will see less post here as steps to close the business have happened, (Tim was the only name on it.) While Tim kindly credited me as a co-creator it was his baby, which I helped him to grow in many ways. Now in this new chapter the Alliance will take the focus of the work Tim started. It may look different, but the passion and purpose is the same.

To our Supernova International Ska family, we are shattered to share that Tim Receveur, the co-founder of the festival and the Supernova Alliance, has passed away.

There are no words big enough for this loss. Tim was deeply loved by so many people around the world. His presence, his heart, and the way he brought people together touched more lives than we could ever begin to count.

Right now, we are devastated and still trying to process the unimaginable. We do not yet know what comes next or what the coming days will look like, but we will share more information when we are able.

We know you will all want to help in any way you can and information about that is forthcoming. For now, we ask for privacy, grace, and space for the family and the Alliance Board to grieve.

Supernova 2026 in the books!! What an absolute joy it is to see the ska community joining together for a weekend of music and art!
