On the LAST SATURDAY OF JULY EVERY YEAR, we provide a day where families can come and have a fun filled day in and their children receive a free back packed filled with school supplies and spend the day in a free festival type atmosphere.

Come join us December,20,2025 from 11am-5pm we are doing free hair cuts. There will be free juices and snacks for the kids. We will also have information on all the events we do monthly, programs , and services available.

Free bagged lunch!

Just a reminder that there are lunch bags we have provided for hungry children in need at Brown's Hardware & Grocery in Hampton also on our food trailer in Erwin at Main Street Mercantile. So if you have a child that is in need we can provide you with a free lunch bag while supplies last.

What can be said about the 2025 Back to School Bash "Rise Up"? After the devastating year this region faced we linked arms and we worked together as one and we rose. With the help of God and His chosen people we were able to have one of our most successful Bashes. Below is a link to a tribute video to those who worked tirelessly and to those who came out to get free backpacks along with school supplies and enjoyed a hot, but great day of fun for the whole family. If you, or your group plan on setting up or if you plan on volunteering at this year's Back to School Bash, you will need to bring your own chairs and tables if you need them. There will not be any shade trees, so if you have a pop up canopy you will want to bring that as well. We look forward to a great turn out this year! What is the Back to School Bash?

The Back to School Bash Ministry involves individuals, churches of all denominations and several area businesses in and around the Carter County area coming together, in one mind and one accord, to provide children with much needed school supplies. We provide a day of free fun and excitement for children of all ages, in a festival type atmosphere along with free school supplies for children in grades K-12. We do not require proof of income for a child to receive a free backpack and supplies because we want this to be available to all kids, not just those who meet certain criteria. The ONLY stipulation is for a child to get a back pack they have to attend the Bash.

Lunch along with snacks consisting of cotton candy, popcorn, Little Debbie cakes, and sno-cones will also be provided at no cost to these families. Our day of activities will include face painting, inflatables, water wars, puppet shows, skits, live music, Disney & comic book characters and much more!
