Locally, nationally, and around the world, people are struggling in many ways. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities as communities face serious issues.

This can be hard emotionally, financially, spiritually, environmentally, and even physically.

“Activate Your Wellness” promotes wellbeing through awareness messages and calls to action. The campaign is all about representing positivity, growth, and optimism. We want Virginians to know that it’s okay if their wellness is not where they want it to be because even a small step can help create positive change!

Mental health is essential to everyone’s overall health and well-being, and mental illnesses are common and treatable. Knowing when to turn to friends, family, and co-workers when you are struggling with life’s challenges can help improve your mental health. Individuals who are struggling with mental illness are more likely to seek help when they have support.

So, talk openly, talk often. Reach out for support.

Let’s support one another. Visit lockandtalk.org/may for more information and resources.
