This week, one of the groups learned from start to finish how donuts are made… and apparently how you go nose blind after working there for so long 😆 Fun Fact: The Hampton Krispy Kreme store makes over 150 dozen doughnuts daily with only 24 left at the end of the day. Sincere thank you to the City of Hampton Sherrif’s Department!

Last week some of DeLSol’s community engagement program participants toured an unused section at the Hampton Correctional Facility by Captain Moore Captain Moore showed the housing units, rules, visitation, and how the facility operates.

Today Captain Moore stopped by our office and dropped off hats for our individuals and a special badge! ☀️ We are so appreciative of the City of Hampton and surrounding community supporting us and DeLSol’s participants! #757

You've asked and we are finally able to bring it back! Applications are now being accepted for our much anticipated Love & Relationships On The Spectrum Workshop.

Sessions will take place on Fridays from March 20-June 19.

Please note, there will not be a session on April 3 (Good Friday) or April 10 (Spring Break).

This 12-week program teaches skills needed for relationships and dating.
Participants will learn and practice skills such as:
• building awareness of self and others
• building a positive self-image
• sharing and interacting socially with others
• experiencing differences in cultures through interaction with others
• developing a sense of responsibility
• becoming independent in healthy relationships with others

This workshop is specifically for young adults between the ages of 20-35 with a diagnosis of Autism.

Participants will be assigned a group based on their assessment results to ensure everyone enjoys their time in this program. If there is a recommendation for a caregiver to attend the workshop with the participant, you will be notified.
