Our hearts are heavy but together, we can. 🕊

Today we grieve for our children and the lives of those lost in the mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas. We also pour our love over our elders who met with God before their time in Buffalo, New York.

We are hurting, mourning and disheartened as our communities continue to be targeted by senseless violence. Why can’t we live in peace without threat of harm and discrimination? Our ancestors walked so that we could run freely and yet here we are, another candle lit for lives of loved ones lost too soon. We are tired.

We want you to know that through these trying days, that we stand together with you as we work to rebuild our hearts and homes. We stand in prayer and communion as we speak protection, compassion and longevity over our communities.

Know that we love you, know that we see you and feel your hearts as we move forward through such desperate times - together. Together, we can. Together, we will. Together, always 🕯
