Hampton Bays Scout Troop 483

Hampton Bays Scout Troop 483 Hampton Bays Scout Troop 483 celebrates 38 years of service to the community. The Troop meets Thursday evenings at 7:00pm in the Basement of the Church.

We are sponsored by the Hampton Bays United Methodist Church and we were established in 1987. Since 1910, Scouting has helped mold the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The Boy Scouts of America believes and, through nearly a century of experience, understands that helping youth puts us on a path toward a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society.

The Scouts from Hampton Bays Troop 483 participated in helping to place flags on the Veterans Graves at Calverton National Cemetery today. Calverton National Cemetery is the largest of the National Cemeteries with approximately 250,000 Veterans Graves !

With the winter storm and extreme cold coming in the next few days, please remember to keep the roadways clear so the plow operators can do their jobs, dig out at least 3’ around fire hydrants so firefighters can get to the hydrants and do their jobs. Do not use barbecues or generators indoors (even in a garage!), make sure to have flashlights or other battery powered lights available. Make sure your phones and other rechargeable devices are fully charged in the event of a power outage.
Check on your neighbors, especially the elderly. Be safe, everyone.

The Scouts of Troop 483 will be holding their Annual Christmas Wreath Sale tomorrow morning December 6th starting at 9:00 AM and going until they sellout of the Christmas Wreaths. The Wreaths are the freshest you will find anywhere and are nicely hand decorated.

Please tell your friends and stop by in front of the Methodist Church to pick up a Wreath.
