Hurricane Update (8/17/25 at 5 PM EDT): Erin's long period swells will start arriving late tonight, and will progressively get worse throughout the day Monday.

Here is our preliminary rip current risk for Monday (8/18/25). High risk for all east-facing beaches.

Yep its been hot be careful out there.

Yesterday's low of 79° in Wilmington was the 45th day in a row temperatures failed to drop below 70°. This is the seventh longest streak of such warm nighttime temps since records began in Wilmington in 1874.

Assuming we don't fall below 70° before midnight tonight, we'll move into a sixth-place tie with 1991's streak of 46 consecutive days. And if temps stay consistently warm the all-time record from 2020 could be tied August 8th and broken on August 9th.
