Fall 2020 U11 Soccer Practice begins tomorrow at 6:30pm with Port City Soccer & WUFA! G6:2 Christian Sports Outreach is proud to sponsor this team, and looking forward to a great season!
Please be in prayer for the youth and their families, as well as Port City Soccer as we all navigate what the new norm is going to look like this season. May the season be full of fun, friendly competition and a great experience for the kids.

The G6:2 Story

For several years, my wife and I were the Student Ministry Directors at Mt. Airy Baptist Church in Mt. Airy, MD. This was a very fulfilling ministry for us, but over time, I have felt led to do more in our community to help draw people to Christ.

As part of this leading, on September 2, 2017, I and a team of other ministry volunteers, organized a 5K race; the Galatians 6:2 5K. The race theme was based on Galatians 6:2 which says “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ”. As a visual and symbolic display of this scripture, each race participant carried a backpack with written prayer requests as they ran the race. Our hope through this race was to demonstrate that as Christians we can love our neighbors by helping them bring their burdens to the Lord in prayer.

Through my experience in ministering to young people through our student ministry, the success of the Galatians 6:2 5K and volunteering as a coach and support roles for numerous youth/children sports, the Lord has led me to combine these experiences and opportunities through this Christ-centered sports outreach. G6:2 Christian Sports Outreach is named after the 5K that inspired me to do more.
