This Saturday marks the 4th year for our Wreaths Across America initiative at Hampstead Cemetery. This year we will be honoring the service of 286 Hampstead Veterans from present day dating back to The War of 1812. Our event is in conjunction with Babylon Vault Company's Carroll County WAA mission.
The wreaths placed will be handmade traditional, live balsam fir wreaths, featuring a signature red velveteen bow, symbolizing honor, remembrance, and patriotism for fallen and serving U.S. military heroes.
We will have many local organizations present including the Town of Hampstead, Maryland, Hampstead Volunteer Fire Company, Hampstead Police Department, Maryland, American Legion Hampstead Post 200, Manchester Valley HS, Hot Shots Softball, Cub Scout Pack 665, Hampstead Merchants Association, St. George's Episcopal Church Youth Group, and others.
Individuals, families and children are all welcome to volunteer! The ceremony will begin promptly at 12:00PM, featuring numerous special guest speakers.
