It’s been a busy fall season around the HFD. Over the last few weeks our members have been visiting the area schools.

Our fire safety education programs are designed to connect with all students in PK-5th grade. We’ve been fortunate to spend time at the McGraw and Weatherbee schools, as well as local Pre-K and daycare facilities to teach the students the importance of fire safety; to meet our crew; and also checkout some fire apparatus and equipment.

The Hampden Fire Department is seeking applicants for a full-time Lieutenant/Paramedic.

The Hampden Fire Department is a 16-member career department that provides fire suppression and EMS transport to over 7,700 residents. Our apparatus includes a pumper/tanker, quint, rescue, brush truck, two ALS ambulances, and a rescue boat. This position is within the IAFF 4903 bargaining unit and is governed by the most recent collective bargaining agreement.
