Good luck to all our Little Leaguers on their first days back to school today!! We hope you all got the teachers you wanted and your bff's in your classes! Have a blast, make lots of friends, and do all your homework as soon as you get home from school! 😉

We can't wait to welcome you all who couldn't make fall ball back in the Spring!

We'd like to challenge each of 'our kids' to do at least one great thing each day - helping a friend, a teacher, etc - without being asked!

Coach Joe

Good morning, Little League followers!!

We are actively looking for a contractor who can donate their time to replace a couple roofs for us as we begin fall ball season.

We have 2 dugout roofs, approximately 7' up, and an announcers shed about 16' up; Both currently shingles and leaking. Screwdown metal roofing, trim, and supplies are on site, including strapping. We are in hopes we can just strap over existing shingles, but if there is rot to roof sheathing, we will need to replace. The dugouts are about 8x22 each, and the shed is about 16x16. The metal will need to be cut to length as it was donated from Hammond Lumber.

If you know anyone who can help us out, please forward the contact information.

Willing parties, with experience, should reach out to Joe Flores via personal messenger, this page's messenger, email [email protected], or my cell (207) 217-4588.

Thank you very much for your attention and assistance!!

Let's talk umpires...

They catch a lot of criticism. We're all guilty of it. As parents, as coaches, as league admins, as players. But, at the end of the day, they're doing their best. And while they have classes for training mechanics, I can tell you from experience, it's a completely different viewpoint calling balls and strikes from behind the plate, behind an inexperienced catcher, behind an inexperienced pitcher. But, it's fun. It's a sense of pride. Our kids deserve having umps. It helps them get better just as much as it helps the umpires find their voices and pitch counts and calling.

Yes, we have to pay them during the regular season as it's tough with so many leagues needing them. But, come tournament time, many do it for free, or at least the ones there for the right reasons do.

This year, we had the opportunity to help our very own local umpires Troy Richardson and Joe Ouellette get 'called up'. Joe was asked to go to Regionals by Little League International while Troy was asked to umpire the Little League World Series this year. What amazing opportunities. Congratulations goes to them, and a big thank you for their dedication. As you can imagine, there's a hefty financial burden to take a week or 2 away without pay. Yes, LL helps with some costs. But, Bronco Little League was happy to contribute $500 to each umpire for their efforts and to help offset some of that burden.

While Regionals is over, there's still a chance to catch Troy in action as Crew Chief for Crew C! He'll be umpiring Tuesday night, 5pm, Southeast US vs Europe/Africa. Then, Wednesday, 5pm as Europe/Africa take on the West. And a double header Thursday at 2, and again at 8pm.

Thank you to all umpires who have given their time and energy this year and going into Fall Ball! It wouldn't be possible without you!

Bronco Little League has an immediate need for a new League Treasurer. It is unfortunate, but we appreciate Adam Dow more than he knows!

Though this is a volunteer position, it will require commitment and continuous record keeping, especially as we go into Fall Ball. We are a non-profit, required to file taxes, etc as well. Adam has devoted so much of his time this year to get us back on track with systems and record keeping, so we really need someone who can pick up where he is leaving off to continue it. He is more than willing to assist with the transition and whomever fills this role to bring them up to speed. This position does need to be voted on by the Board, and the candidate should have a background in finances.

Interested parties should contact Joe Flores at [email protected] or any Bronco Little League Board member who can pass along your information to the Board.

A bittersweet end to an amazing season.

Our 12u boys were defeated Wednesday evening. Our 10u boys can't up just short. And our 11u boys fought so hard in extreme heat yesterday for a double header.

Not only were they battling a tough team in Brewer Little League and tri-city, but they were battling 95deg heat in back to back games. We tip our hats to Tri-City for bringing their A game and taking the victory, earning the title of District Champs. It was well-deserved.

We are so proud of all our boys; our teams; our coaches for an amazing season. They all put in the time and effort to practice and perfect skills over the last 8 weeks. It's always sad when the season ends. We, as coaches and volunteers, as with any sport, develop a bind over those 2 months with our teams. Baseball (and softball) create families, not just teams. We will miss our family, but they've earned a fun 4th of July weekend and great summer.

We also want to thank all our volunteers over these 8 weeks. It takes so much effort and energy to run 10 teams, or cover snack shack, or ready the fields, announcing, umpiring, etc. We cannot do it without you all.

A special thank you goes to our VP, Jason Thibodeaux. He put so much sweat, energy, time, maybe even some tears, and most of all, emotion, into this league this season. Thank you, Coach. It's not unnoticed.

Have a great 4th, baseball families. Have a great Summer. And we cannot wait to welcome so many of you back for Fall Ball. Details to come soon!

Time to celebrate our 250th! 🇺🇸🇺🇸⚾⚾ There was no better way to begin this weekend than playing America's favorite past time!!
