While Will Correll ’13 may be the founder and CEO of Buskey Cider, he is also an entrepreneur who takes risks and solves problems. After years of hard work and completing his studies at Hampden-Sydney, Correll has led Buskey Cider through challenges that might have caused other businesses to falter. Through dedication, perseverance, and a commitment to solving problems, Correll has built something that serves the common good.

Through her years of service and devotion to Hampden-Sydney, and through a scholarship she has endowed in honor of her late husband, Lewis Everett ’63, Leanna Everett has created a lasting legacy at the College. Her unwavering support of the Hampden-Sydney brotherhood, commitment to the College’s mission of forming good men and good citizens, and generosity continue to honor her husband’s memory while strengthening the Hampden-Sydney experience for generations to come.

From the spring 2026 edition of the Record:

Juris Simanis ’91 is one of the first five people in the world to earn the Wilderness Medical Society’s (WMS) prestigious Triple Crown designation.

The achievement required completing the Diploma in Mountain Medicine, Diploma in Dive and Marine Medicine, and Fellowship in the Wilderness Medical Society. Through immersive lectures, demanding field sessions, and conferences, Simanis has developed the expertise to care for patients in some of the world’s most challenging and unpredictable environments.

Sports medicine physician Juris Simanis ’91 was among the first five people in the world to earn the distinction of being a Wilderness Medical Society (WMS) Triple Crown recipient.
