Deborah Lynch for Village of Hammondsport I grew up in Corning, NY and graduated from Corning East High School in 1983. The Village of Hammondsport and Keuka Lake hold my heart.

I then attended Corning Community College for 2 years securing my Paralegal Degree. I then went on to Albany State University and received my Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science/Criminal Justice with a minor in Business Management. I stayed in Albany from 1985-1990 and started my career in the insurance industry with MetLife Auto and Home where I was an agent for 32 years until it was

purchased by Farmers Insurance in April of 2021. I then became a Farmers Agent until Oct 1, 2023 when I sold the agency and retired from being an agency owner. I have also been and owner and operator of 2 Airbnb's' in the Village of Hammondsport for over 6 years now and I love doing that as I get to meet people from all over the world. After losing my Mom, Ruth Young, last year, in our Horseheads home, I knew it was time to be in the place full time that I have enjoyed so much over the past 10 years of home ownership, Hammondsport. I truly love being a part of this community and look forward to serving the residents of Hammondsport as a Village Trustee until the election in March where I hope to earn your trust and friendships.

A message from the Hammondsport Fire Department about their annual Carnival & Fireworks, happening July 2nd - July 4th 2026.

Fireworks starting at 10:30pm July 4th, 2026.

SAVE THE DATE

This year's Carnival will run July 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

Rides will be open:

July 2nd, 6:00 to 10:00 with a special of Bring a Friend to Ride Free. Purchase one ticket and a friend can ride with you for free.

July 3rd, opening 4:00. From 6:00 to 10:00 will be pay one price for a wrist band.

July 4th opening at 1:00. From 1:00 to 5:00 and 6:00 to 10:00 will be pay one price for a wrist band for each session.

Events during the Carnival:

July 2nd will be water ball starting at 6:00

July 4th from 11:00 to 1:00 will be fire truck rides for the kids

July 4th at 6:00 will be the Annual Fireman's parade.

July 4th at 10:30 will be a huge fireworks show.

As always, we will have clams, sausage, burgers, hot dogs, French fries, salt potatoes, ice cold drinks and much more.

This was an excellent event and it recognized the dedication of our Hammondsport Fire Department volunteers. The Women's Auxiliary did a fantastic job with all the decorations and the set up!! A special thank you to my friend Nancy Heineman Bohlayer for helping the auxiliary with the decorations!! Proud to be a member in support of this organization.
