Ss. Cyril & Methodius SVDP in North Judson is having their Pork Chop Dinner fundraiser next Sunday between 11 am - 1 pm.
Their thick seasoned to perfection pork chops and fresh vegies dinner is delicious! Take a drive out there. You won't regret it. And while you are in Starke County, stop at the Blueberry farms and pick up fresh scrumptious blueberries. That will also be worth the drive.

Northwest Indiana is still cleaning up and assessing the damage from the recent violent storms and tornadoes. The American Red and FEMA are actively meeting with the storm victims and assisting with their immediate needs. The SVDP Society and many Churches are part of the unmet needs Committee. They will be contacted after the American Red Cross and FEMA do what they can do to assist. Our SVDP Council has a Disaster Fund for those unmet needs. The SVDP Disaster fund has purchased beds, dressers and linens for individuals involved in fires and flooding. I am sure there will be renters, who had no renter's insurance, calling SVDP for assistance in acquiring essential items not provided by the first responders.

Here is the SVDP Council website link if you would like to donate to the SVDP Disaster fund.
