It is with heavy hearts that Child Advocacy Services announces the passing of our beloved friend, colleague, and advocate, Rachel Hester.
Rachel’s journey with CAS began as a CASA Advocate, where she volunteered her time and heart to ensure that children in foster care had a voice. Her passion for helping children and families led her to join our staff, where she faithfully served in many roles over nearly 16 years, including Family Service Coordinator and Supervisor.
Throughout her years with CAS, Rachel embodied compassion, dedication, and unwavering service. She touched the lives of countless children, families, volunteers, and coworkers, offering encouragement, guidance, and hope to those who needed it most. Whether advocating for a child, supporting a family, mentoring a volunteer, or lending a listening ear to a colleague, Rachel made everyone feel seen, valued, and cared for.
The photos shared here represent just a small glimpse of the countless moments Rachel spent serving the mission she loved so deeply. Her impact on Child Advocacy Services and our community is immeasurable, and her legacy will live on through the many lives she touched.
We extend our deepest condolences to her husband, children, grandchildren, friends, and all who loved her. Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers as we mourn this tremendous loss and celebrate a life devoted to service, kindness, and love.
Thank you, Rachel, for being a voice for children and a treasured member of the CAS family. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
