It's almost time to open our Fall Play 2025, Teach Me How to Cry by Patricia Joudry! The show will be performed in our newly renovated Black Box Theatre. Thanks to an anonymous donor last year, we were able to supply the theatre classroom space with fully functioning, state-of-the-art lighting, sound, and stage equipment.
The show runs this weekend, November 14, 15, 16, and next weekend, November 21, 22, and 23. This is the first Drama Club production since 2018 that is running for two weekends! Fridays and Saturdays are at 7pm and Sundays are at 2pm.
Tickets are $7 for Faculty, Staff and Students and $10 for General Admission. Online reservations are strongly recommended as there is limited seating!
Synopsis: Set in 1955, Teach Me How to Cry is a delicately written relationship between a self-conscious, proud young girl who guesses—correctly—that her mother was never married. At the same time, there is a troubled, only reluctantly hostile relationship between a boy who thinks of himself as 'more the writer type’ and his ambitious but ineffectual parents who want to urge him toward better things. The boy and girl, both of them outcasts in a world of grapevine rumors, stumble upon one another and slowly find their ways toward dignity, open affection and some sort of identity.
