We are so proud of Jhoan!

"Godspell" opens tonight!
Opening night is finally here! Bishop Noll Drama is proud to present the 2012 revival of "Godspell." Junior Jhoan P. stars as Jesus. His role as an actor is one of many he plays at Bishop Noll. As a drum major, Student Ambassador, and member of the Hispanic Student Union—among more than 17 other activities—he has spent his time at BNI building involvement.

" Through my involvement in many clubs and organizations, I have had the opportunity to meet new people and share what makes our school special," Jhoan said. "It is truly an honor. BNI Warriors are involved in so many extracurriculars, and that’s something I deeply admire about our student body. Everyone pushes themselves to grow, try new things, and be part of something bigger than themselves."

He hopes to carry these experiences forward to college to double major in communications and musical theater. This entire cast has put in a lot of energy and talent to bring this production to our community. Come check out one of their performances.

Bishop Noll Drama Club is proud to present our Spring Musical, Godspell (2012)!

About the Show: A group of people help Jesus Christ tell different parables by using a wide variety of games, storytelling techniques and hefty doses of comic timing. An eclectic blend of songs, ranging in style from pop to vaudeville, is employed as the story of Jesus' life dances across the stage. Dissolving hauntingly into the Last Supper and the Crucifixion, Jesus' messages of kindness, tolerance and love come vibrantly to life. The show is primarily based on the Gospel of Matthew, interspersed with music mostly set to lyrics from traditional hymns, with the Passion of Christ appearing briefly near the end.

Godspell will be performed at Bishop Noll on March 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, and 22. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7pm and Sunday performances are at 2pm. Tickets are $10 General Admission and $7 for BNI Staff and Students.

Tickets, cast and crew bios, and more can be found at our website: https://our.show/godspellbni

Ticket purchase in advance is strongly recommended as seating is limited. Show is appropriate for all ages. The show runs 2 hours with one 10-minute intermission. Concessions will be sold, and a 50/50 raffle will be held each weekend. The venue is wheelchair accessible. Flashing lights and haze are used during the production.

Godspell is produced through special arrangement with Musical Theater International.

Happy Opening to our Fall Play 2025! Teach Me How to Cry runs November 14-16 and 21-13 in the new Black Box Theater. Friday and Saturdays at 7pm, Sundays at 2pm.

Tickets are $10 for General Admission and $7 for BNI Staff/Students. Online reservations are strongly encouraged and can be made at https://our.show/teachmehowtocry .

Synopsis: Set in 1955, Teach Me How to Cry is a delicately written relationship between a self-conscious, proud young girl who guesses—correctly—that her mother was never married. At the same time, there is a troubled, only reluctantly hostile relationship between a boy who thinks of himself as 'more the writer type’ and his ambitious but ineffectual parents who want to urge him toward better things. The boy and girl, both of them outcasts in a world of grapevine rumors, stumble upon one another and slowly find their ways toward dignity, open affection and some sort of identity.

It's almost time to open our Fall Play 2025, Teach Me How to Cry by Patricia Joudry! The show will be performed in our newly renovated Black Box Theatre. Thanks to an anonymous donor last year, we were able to supply the theatre classroom space with fully functioning, state-of-the-art lighting, sound, and stage equipment.

The show runs this weekend, November 14, 15, 16, and next weekend, November 21, 22, and 23. This is the first Drama Club production since 2018 that is running for two weekends! Fridays and Saturdays are at 7pm and Sundays are at 2pm.

Tickets are $7 for Faculty, Staff and Students and $10 for General Admission. Online reservations are strongly recommended as there is limited seating!
