What a great morning for Leadership Tangipahoa Alumni!

We had a fantastic turnout for our 2026 Leadership Alumni Breakfast at the Victory Club in Strawberry Stadium.

A special thank you to Southeastern Louisiana University President Dr. William Wainwright and Athletic Director Jay Artigues for joining us and sharing updates on the university’s growth, athletics, and the important role student-athletes play at Southeastern.

Most of all, it was great seeing Leadership Tangipahoa alumni reconnect, catch up with classmates, and enjoy a morning of fellowship and conversation.

We also thank the 32 alumni who took an angel to purchase gifts for the boys in the Methodist Children's Home of Southeast Louisiana for Christmas

Great people. Great conversations. Great connections. That’s what Leadership Tangipahoa is all about!

We had another outstanding day learning about the many educational opportunities in Tangipahoa Parish. We started the day at Courtney Christian School. Then we traveled to see how the Tangipahoa Parish School System is meeting the needs of our students at the TPSS Advanced College and Career Magnet Center in Independence. Then we had a wonderful lunch, musical entertainment and tour of Hammond High Magnet School. Then it was off to hear from Dr. Carlson and tour at the Northshore Technical Community College and finishing the day with Dr. Wainwright at Southeastern Louisiana University. Each of these educational institutions play a large role in Tangipahoa Parish.
