This Christmas, Skylar’s Toy Drive has a very special goal.

We want to sponsor a couple of families who are currently walking through a childhood cancer journey. 🎗️

These families are spending their days doing things no parent should ever have to do — hospital visits, treatments, appointments, procedures, sleepless nights, and worrying about their child’s tomorrow.

While most families are focused on Christmas lists and holiday traditions, these parents may simply be praying for their child to get through another treatment.

We want to give them something to smile about. ❤️

We are reaching out to local businesses and asking if you would consider helping us sponsor a cancer journey family this Christmas.

Your contribution could help provide Christmas gifts for the children, gifts for siblings, something special for Mom and Dad, or simply help create a little bit of normalcy and joy during an incredibly difficult chapter of their lives. 🎁

For us, this means even more.

Skylar’s Toy Drive was created in Skylar’s honor, and every year we try to turn the heartbreak of losing her into something that brings light to other children and families. This year, we want some of that light to reach families who are currently walking the road our family knows far too well. 💗

We’re not looking for businesses to simply write a check. We’re looking for businesses who want to become part of a family’s Christmas story.

🎗️ SEPTEMBER IS CHILDHOOD CANCER AWARENESS MONTH 🎗️

And for us, this month means so much more than raising awareness. It’s a reminder of the children who are fighting, the families spending countless nights in hospital rooms, and the families who have had to face the unimaginable loss of a child. 💛

That is why Skylar’s Toy Drive is once again coming together this Christmas to bring a little hope, comfort, normalcy, and joy to sick and hospitalized children. 🎄🎁

But this year, we’re trying something new. ❤️

While we will still gladly accept new, unwrapped toys, we are hoping to put an even greater focus on raising money to sponsor families.

When a child is battling cancer or another serious illness, the financial burden can become overwhelming. Hospital stays can mean missed work, travel expenses, food, lodging, gas, and countless unexpected costs—all while parents are simply trying to be there for their child.

A monetary gift can help take even one small worry off a family’s shoulders. And during the holidays, that can mean everything. ❤️

Two years.

Two years of waking up with a piece of our hearts missing. Two years of carrying a grief that never truly gets lighter—we’ve just learned how to carry it.

Not a day goes by that we don’t think about Skylar. We miss her smile, her laugh, her presence, and all of the moments we never got to have. Time keeps moving, but our love for her has never changed.

People say time heals, but the truth is that love doesn’t end when someone is gone. We have spent two years loving and missing her every single day. She is forever a part of us, forever in our hearts, and forever loved beyond words.

We miss you more than words could ever express. We carry you with us in everything we do, and we will continue to honor your memory for the rest of our lives.

Two years without you. A lifetime of loving you. 💙

This month is all about raising awareness, funds, and support for those affected by brain cancer.

Did you know brain cancer is one of the most underfunded and challenging cancers out there?

Skylar’s 11th birthday is also this month, in just 3 days. This year to honor her, we would like to raise funds to make a donation for brain cancer research.
