Hamilton's large network of parks offers recreational opportunities for everyone--active or leisure. Nearly 25 percent of Hamilton's park lands are in natural wooded settings, ranging from dense forests with peaceful walking trails to open picnic grounds and sports fields. The Riverside Natural Area adjacent to the Bike Path offers more than 150 acres of natural beauty. Visitors can see a shaded l

agoon, a wooded trail and broad expanses of natural grasses and wildflowers. Here you will discover a surprising array of wildlife and waterfowl. Few cities in the country have accessibility to such natural areas within a short distance of downtown.

There’s nothing better than seeing our neighborhood parks filled with kids playing, learning, laughing, and making memories all summer long. Programs like Parks Hangout remind us just how important our parks are to bringing the community together!
