Some companions leave paw prints that never fade.

On National Pet Memorial Day, we remember the beloved animals who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge and the love they brought into our lives. From the first hello to the quiet everyday moments, their memories remain part of us forever.

Honor that pet and their memory by sharing a photo or favorite memory of a pet you're remembering today and tell us what made them special.

Shown in the video is sweet Ollie, adopted in 2006. Despite being the only big dog in the pack, he was always a great gentle player with the small dogs and loved playing chase.

Four wonderful dogs. Four chances to change a life. And right now, their adoption fees are waived! 🐾❤️

Meet Abel, Bagel Mini, Barrel, and Brad Paisley. Four adoptable dogs at Cincinnati Animal CARE who are ready to find their forever families.

🐶 Abel – A senior gentleman, 8 years or older, looking for a loving home where he can enjoy his golden years.

🐶 Bagel Mini – A senior lady, 8 years or older, who deserves a family to call her own.

🐶 Barrel – A senior gentleman, 8 years or older, waiting for someone to give him the love and comfort of home.

🐶 Brad Paisley – An adult boy, approximately 1–7 years old, ready for his next chapter with a forever family.

Adopting a pet is about so much more than the adoption fee, but having that fee waived can make it a little easier to take the first step. These dogs still have so much love to give, and each one deserves the chance to be someone's best friend.

If you've been thinking about adopting, now is a wonderful time to meet them. Visit Cincinnati Animal CARE to learn more about each dog and the adoption process.

Not able to adopt? Please share this post. Your share could be the one that helps Abel, Bagel Mini, Barrel, or Brad Paisley find their person.

The best part of a day off? Spending a little extra time with the ones who make our house a home.

Whether your pet is enjoying a walk, supervising the grill, or claiming the comfiest spot on the couch, we hope your Labor Day is filled with the simple joys of being together.
