At Conquest Workforce, we're building bridges between opportunity and purpose.
Ohio is seeing progress in reducing overdose and recidivism rates—but there’s still more to do. We believe the need for community and purpose has never been greater.

Conquest provides personalized support through workforce programs and life coaching, helping individuals reclaim their lives and futures. By doing this, we see drug use and recidivism in our rear view mirror as opposed to our windshield.

Fringe Industries is now…Conquest Workforce 👷🏼‍♂️

Conquest Workforce helps those who are in recovery and/or seeking reintegration after incarceration find employment and regain financial and social dignity. Conquest employees also receive skill training, life coaching, and personal development opportunities to ensure that their re-entry is not only long lasting, but also is a means to a successful, prosperous life.

For folks entering into society after dealing with addiciton or incarceration, there can sometimes be "hidden" barriers. For example, we know that some people have difficulty finding jobs because of a felony conviction or past history of addiction, but some of the barriers people don't often think about is the barrier of transportation for those who don't have a license, not having proper documentation to start work and lacking funds to even get copies made, and bills compounding because life just doesn't let up.

When we talk about recovery and re-entry, we're not just talking about putting an individual to work at a dead-end job. We are talking about total revitalization, giving them hope in every area of life. Second chance work is just that - second chance work. We want to eliminate the barriers that come with leaving toxic lifestyles, and provide kinship and covering to our brothers and sisters as they pick up the pieces. Think of the Good Samaritan, who took ownership of the poor man on the road. It required personal buy-in and personal sacrifice. This means when someone has a need, we do our best to fill it for them, be it documentation, transportation, community, skills training, you name it.

EXCITING NEWS!!

Although we were saddened to share the news of closing the Fringe Coffee House on Saturday, we are more excited than ever about the future of the Fringe Industries! Our mission was and will always be to help see the lives of those looking for a second chance changed. We have seen the lives of those getting a second chance at employment after incarceration changing at an unprecedented rate! The Industries are placing them into various employment opportunities partnering with businesses to change the lives of the workers and enhance the production of the companies.

Our mission is still to offer hope, along with the tools and pathways to a successful and self-sustaining life. And we still count on the help of people like you to make this happen! We are asking you to consider giving to help us as we mentor those seeking reentry to find jobs, provide work uniforms, offer transportation for them and more. We have included a link to our paypal account and all contributions will go to making someone’s life better...one job at a time! We are also pleased to let you know that we are offering space at our building at 604 High Street for rent for parties, meetings, remote work and more. We are so overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and affection you have shown us over the last few days. We cannot wait to celebrate with you one more time tomorrow.

We will talk more about our mission moving forward in the coming days, but with the shop closing, we currently have two (female) employees in need of employment pretty urgently.

To the Fringe Coffee House Community,

When we re-opened our new location in September 2022, we were filled with awe and excitement at the support that came not only from you, but also State of Ohio grants and other organizations. We are beyond thankful and encouraged at the outpouring of support. We wholeheartedly believe that our core mission on bringing awareness to second-chance employment for those coming out of homelessness, addiction or former incarceration has been achieved. And for that we are grateful to the Hamilton community.

However, running a non-profit employment experience does not come without its challenges. While we have made great gains seen in the lives of many employees who have received their second chance through the coffee house, we have come to the realization that at this time it is not a sustainable business model. After several months of careful consideration, Fringe Industries Workforce has made the difficult and bittersweet decision to close the Fringe Coffee House. We hope you will join us for one more cup of hope, grace and compassion, otherwise known as coffee on our last day this coming Saturday, February 22nd.

Fringe Industries’ Workforce Non-Profit will still be in operation for training, supporting and placing those in need of a second chance into various employment opportunities partnering to build stronger communities. We are not slowing down! Rather, we are pivoting ourselves to a sustainable market of second-chance employment. Our mission is still to offer hope, along with the tools and pathways to a successful and self-sustaining life. In doing so, our goal is to create a community of reintegrated people who are set up to thrive in business throughout this region. As we begin our next season and transition into the Workforce Program full-time, we will share updates with information about our ever-growing partnerships and services we are able to provide.
