How cool is this?!

Sea Scouts Ship 9316’s Encore -out of Holland- took 1st overall in the JAM division at the Anchorage Cup on Lake Michigan!

Even cooler — the entire youth crew are Eagle Scouts, including Eagle Scouts from Hamilton Troop 33 and Hamilton Girls Troop 333!

Just goes to show that when you age out of your troop, the adventure doesn’t have to stop. The skills, leadership and friendships just keep going!

Congrats to the whole Encore crew! Those smiles say it all!

Last night was patrol cookout night! Each patrol had the chance to plan and cook their own meal.

One patrol made French toast and bacon, another cooked up burgers, and the SPL and ASPL teamed up for venison spaghetti.

Looks like everyone did a pretty good job! A great night of cooking, teamwork, and hanging out together.

Operation Rendezvous - Camp Grayling (September 18-20)

What a weekend for Troop 33!

Our Scouts headed north to Camp Grayling this weekend for the very first Operation Rendezvous, a brand-new event put on by Michigan Crossroads Council in partnership with the Michigan Army National Guard.

From military displays and hands-on activities to STEM, land navigation, climbing, simulators, career exploration, and plenty of time just having fun together, there was something around every corner to keep the Scouts busy. They even got the full Camp Grayling experience—sleeping in the barracks and eating in the mess hall!

It was a great opportunity for our Scouts to try things they don’t normally get to experience, learn something new, challenge themselves, and make some great memories with their friends.

A huge THANK YOU to the Michigan Army National Guard, Michigan Crossroads Council, the Camp Grayling staff, and all of the volunteers who helped make the inaugural Operation Rendezvous such a great weekend.

And of course, thank you to our Troop 33 leaders who gave up their weekend to take our Scouts and help make it all happen!
