A key agenda item is the review of the current cease-and-desist order on the Athletic Facilities Improvement Project. Your support is crucial in ensuring the continued progress of this important project and bringing our Generals home!

Did you know the Hamilton Conservation Commission has yet to lift the cease-and-desist order on the Athletic Facilities Project, even though the District met all the conditions 90 days ago? Your support is crucial to moving this project forward. Please take a moment to email the commissioners and respectfully urge them to lift the order at their upcoming meeting on January 29th.

Participation, whether speaking or as an audience member, in a thoughtful way is encouraged. ARTICLE 2024/4 3-3 Citizens’ Petition – Resolution on Use of Artificial Turf at HWRSD Athletic Fields Project

A "yes" vote indicates you do not support the use of artificial turf at HWRHS.
A "no" vote indicates you do support the use of artificial turf at HWRHS.

ARTICLE 2024/4 3-4 Citizens’ Petition – Amend Vote to Appropriate Funds for the HWRSD Athletic Fields Project

A "yes" vote indicates you wish to amend the vote taken on last years' HWRSD Athletic Fields Project.
A "no" vote indicates you do not wish to amend the vote taken on last years' HWRSD Athletic Fields Project.

ARTICLE 2024/4 3-5 Citizens’ Petition – General Bylaw Amendment Moratorium on Artificial Turf Fields

A "yes" vote indicates you wish to prohibit authorization and installation of artificial turf fields on any public land in the town of Hamilton.
A "no" vote indicates you do not wish to prohibit authorization and installation of artificial turf fields on any public land in the town of Hamilton.

Bringing students back to campus has always been a goal of this project. The HW Generals Softball Team, primarily comprised of underclassman not yet of driving age, is tasked with trying to make it to a field off campus daily. There are no facilities available for changing or equipment storage. Furthermore, their time on the field is limited given it is a community field intended for youth sports later in the afternoon. We can do better.

Playable surfaces able to withstand frequent use and weather belong on campus. Protect the Athletic Facilities Project by attending Hamilton’s Annual Town Meeting on Saturday, April 6th at 9:00am in the High School auditorium!
