Something new just happened.

Not only did I earn an emerging talent badge from Meta today for “creating engaging content that sparks interest among my fans”, the reel I shared reached 1.8k views in just a few hours!

Something seems to have clicked. Thank you all for your interest in and support of my youth leadership activities. It means a lot.

DSITalks-23 was held today!

It marked the culmination of DSI’s 46th & 47th Youth Leadership Workshops.

We heard 12 fantastic speeches delivered by our young speakers, showcasing the confidence, communication and leadership skills they have developed over the course of the program.

DSI extends its sincere thanks to the panel of three independent judges for giving their time generously this afternoon and choosing best speakers of the day. Additionally, they provided thoughtful feedback about every speech, making the experience even more valuable.

Special congratulations to two students who graduated from the DSI program today after successfully completing all four levels - Competence, Bronze, Silver AND Gold, and earning DSI’s highest educational distinction: the DISTINGUISHED YOUTH LEADER (DYL) award.

With their achievement, the total number of DYL’s recognized by DSI since its inception stands at 14. To earn this honor, students must complete a rigorous curriculum that includes-
* 25 prepared speeches, including educational presentations and facilitated discussions
* 40 impromptu/extempore debate speeches
* 16 speech evaluations
* service as Leader of the Day/Debate Moderator at least four times
* service as a Coach’s Assistant

Congratulations to all our youth leaders on their accomplishments. DSI is proud of everything you have achieved and looks forward to your continued success.
