One may ask what the Jaycees are all about... Well, to know that, it must be understood that leadership development through community involvement has been the basis of the Jaycees since its inception in 1920. The goal of the not-for -profit organization is to provide members, 18-40 years old, a means to reach their full potential through networking and personal growth opportunities. One's involvem
ent with the Jaycees will provide opportunities to meet new people, impact the local community, and apply skills to enhance their career. The Hame Area Jaycees are no exception. After a long hiatus, the Hamel Area Jaycees restarted the chapter in November of 2015. Since then, the organization has been in full swing. With a chapter that is continuously growing, the Hamel Jaycees have been proud to host events like "Haunted Trivia" and "Bags for Tots" to help give back to the community. The Hamel Area Jaycees mission is to not only better the local community, but also the members within. Being a member of the Jaycees has many benefits, but the most beneficial part is the members that are in it.
