“The things that we valued were the community engagement strategies, designs that align with the town’s Complete Streets Policy and environmentally-sensitive design practices,” said Town Engineer Stephen White

The selected engineering consultant, who will oversee a public input and design process, received unanimous approval from the Legislative Council’s Engineering, Development and Municipal Planning Committee

The construction, once it begins, is expected to take two to three years and one roadway will be closed at a time.

Next weekend, a great opportunity to meet up with neighbors! Community groups are encouraged to arrange meet ups and target a specific location in the neighborhood. (Suggested list on our website: www.springglencivic.org)

One option: On Saturday April 25th, the SGCA Board invites neighbors to join us at Best Video at 10am and we will head over to the Canal Trail for a group clean up effort of Connolly Parkway and then the trail from Connolly Parkway to Mather Street (the section of the trail between Spring Glen and Whitneyville).

All neighbors and community groups are invited to participate. Visit www.springglencivic.org for more info.
