Once a month the children of the First United Methodist Church of Decatur, Texas gather pocket change in red buckets. This simple offering has raised enough money to change the lives of more than 10 orphaned youth.

Before starting their F4O empowerment journey only 8% of the orphaned youth in the program were able to provide adequate food to their household. 18 months into the program 99% report that their household eats enough food every day.

Now that is something to dance about!

The lions of the Gorongosa National Park in Mozambique were hunted to near extinction, but the concerted efforts of conservationists empowered an incredible comeback.

I've been partnering with orphaned and vulnerable youth since 1998. This photo was taken by Deborah Rose during a trip in 2002. Although Father Time is undefeated (I am showing signs of aging from this old photo), my heart is full. Working with these young people has been the highlight of my career. I not only intend to work many more years with Mozambique's most vulnerable group - I invite you to join me in this incredible mission. We are contemplating three trips to Mozambique: June 10 - 20 or 21, August 17 - 27 or 28, October 7 - 17 or 18. If you can join us, your life will be changed - and you can help us change the world!
