Today, I honor my mother & Black mothers—the ones who hold us, guide us, and love us in ways the world doesn’t always make easy. I celebrate the Black women who show up every day with strength, tenderness, wisdom, and an unshakable commitment to their families and communities. Your care is not just nurturing—it is revolutionary.

I also bow my head in gratitude to the ancestors who paved the way. The Black mothers who endured, resisted, protected, and dreamed beyond their circumstances. The ones who raised generations through unimaginable challenges, who passed down stories, traditions, courage, and hope. Their love lives on in every lesson, every prayer, every act of resilience we carry forward.

Black motherhood is legacy. It is survival and joy, sacrifice and celebration, history and future all at once.

To every Black mother here today: I see you, I honor you, I thank you. And to those who came before—you are never forgotten. Your strength built the path I walk today.
Happy Mother’s Day 🤍

REAL EQUALITY ISN'T COMFORTABLE. IT MEANS NO ONE GETS TO DOMINATE AND NO ONE STAYS POWERLESS.
