We will be celebrating the 15th annual Take Your Child to the Library Day with drop in crafts, raffles and giveaways.

Learn about early childhood resources in Hamden from members of the Hamden Partnership for Young Children.

Activities will be held from 10:00 until 12:00 while supplies last.

Hello Everyone- This is Mayor Adam Sendroff with a storm update.

Thank you for staying off the roads during the storm. We got through this storm without any major incidents and I appreciate everyone doing their part on behalf of public safety.

On Tuesday:
- Hamden Public Schools will have a two hour delay.

- Town offices will open at their normal time.

- The Transfer Station will be closed.

The parking ban will remain in effect until further notice.

Plowing operations remain ongoing. There is a massive amount of snow from this storm and clean-up will take time. Thank you for your patience. Residents and landscapers- your cooperation is particularly appreciated in keeping snow out of the street, as it creates a safety hazard.

Bitterly cold temperatures will remain, and the Governor has extended the Severe Cold Weather Protocol until February 5th. Please call 211 if you are in need of cold weather resources.

As a reminder, trash and recycling pick-up will be delayed a day this week.

The overnight winter warming center at the Keefe Community Center will remain open 24 hours until noon on Wednesday, then will revert to its normal 7:00pm to 7:00am schedule.

If you are experiencing an emergency, please call 911.

I’d like to extend my gratitude to Hamden Public Works and Parks, Police, and Fire for all of their efforts to keep us safe during this challenging storm and its aftermath.

Celebrate your love this Valentine’s Day with a complimentary wedding ceremony hosted by the Hamden Town Clerk’s Office on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Memorial Town Hall, 2372 Whitney Avenue, Hamden.

What’s Included:
* Marriage License
* One Certified Copy of Your Marriage Certificate
* Justice of the Peace Services
* A Small Reception

Ceremonies and reception will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM.

Hamden Residents Only
Appointment required. No Walk-Ins 🥰
