EmpowHer Inc. and United Community Corporation (UCC) are hosting a Christmas Toy Giveaway and Community Resources event, FREE and first come, first serve.

Over 1000+ toys, plus free groceries and pampers while supplies last, and utility resources, including community solar savings. Bring your utility bill.

Today, EmpowHer & EmpowHim was at Toys for Tots Headquarters, collecting toys that will soon bring smiles, joy, and hope to children right here in Newark. 💚

Every toy picked up is a reminder of why we do this work — to serve families, uplift our community, and make sure no child is forgotten this holiday season.

With over 15 years of experience in the home and auto service industry, Mr. Henry has successfully managed and cultivated millions of dollars in real estate and auto sales. His gift for connecting professionals and transforming unqualified buyers into homeowners through credit restoration and financial literacy has helped countless families rewrite their financial stories.

As a Real Estate Consultant and Wholesaler, Mr. Henry approaches every project with precision and purpose—handling everything from consultation to acquisition. His mission goes beyond property; it’s about rebuilding communities. He is committed to restoring neighborhoods so children can grow up surrounded by safety and opportunity, not blight and neglect.

A graduate of Kean University’s International Business and Economics program with a degree in Business Finance, Mr. Henry continues to merge education with empowerment through Freedom Academy LLC, a learning and coaching institution dedicated to teaching real estate, business, and finance. His goal is for every participant to complete the program as both a certified graduate and a registered business owner, ready to create impact in their own communities.

At his core, Mr. Henry believes that when you educate people, you equip them to change generations. Through his leadership and passion for financial empowerment, he is building pathways for low- to middle-income families to achieve stability, success, and legacy.

✨ Winter Wonderland Gala Honoree Spotlight

Honoring: Demetrius Kee

Demetrius Kee is a young man whose life radiates purpose, faith, and excellence. From his beginnings in Montclair, New Jersey, Demetrius was dedicated to God’s service by his family—his mother, Granger Kee, his aunt, Margot Parramore, and his grandmother, Nancey Kee—who knew he was set apart for great things.

A proud graduate of Hillside High School and Drew University, where he earned a degree in Religious Studies with a minor in Theatre, Demetrius has continued to merge intellect, artistry, and ministry with grace. His gifts extend far beyond the pulpit and stage. As a professional, award-nominated actor performing across New Jersey and New York, he brings stories to life with depth and sincerity, touching audiences through every role he embodies.

By day, Demetrius serves as a Legislative Aide to Council Member-At-Large Rev. Louise Scott-Rountree, one of Newark’s most dedicated public servants. In this role, he models what it means to serve both God and community with integrity and humility.

A devoted member of Bethlehem Judah Christian Fellowship COGIC under the leadership of Bishop Anthony W. Gilyard, Demetrius remains active in both the music and youth ministries. He is passionate about using every platform—whether on stage, in city hall, or in church—to glorify God and uplift others.
