Hello Parents and Staff at David E. Smith Elementary School!

We need 7 volunteers to be on our Nominating Committee for the upcoming PTA Board Election.

Tomorrow night 3/31/26 at the PTA meeting before the 2nd grade program, we will be calling for and approving 5 volunteers and 2 alternates to be on this committee.

Duties will include attending a separate nominating committee meeting on a later date TBD in April, adhering to the local bylaws (will be explained to the committee by the current parliamentarian) and confidentiality agreement for meeting, considering eligibility and qualifications for all nominees for officer positions for next school year, calling upon further nominations if necessary, and creating and submitting a nomination report after the committee has selected one nomination for each position to be voted upon in a general PTA member meeting later in the month.

If this sounds like something you are willing and able to help with, and you are a registered PTA member this year, please attend the meeting at 5:45pm on March 31, 2026.
