A huge THANK YOU to the team from EOG Resources for spending their morning in our kitchen helping pack meals for local seniors and homebound neighbors!

As if that wasn't enough, EOG also surprised us with a generous $10,000 donation to support our mission. 🎉

We're so grateful for community-minded companies like EOG that show up, pitch in, and make a real difference right here in Tarrant County.

We’re approaching an incredible milestone: our 30-millionth meal served!

30 million meals didn’t happen by accident.
They happened because a volunteer knocked on a door.
Because a donor said yes.
Because a meal arrived exactly when someone needed it most.

For years, our community has shown up for seniors, disabled adults, and neighbors facing hunger, one meal at a time.

But this isn’t the finish line. It’s the beginning of what comes next.
Join the movement fueling the next 30 million meals through Nourish Network.
Just $40/month helps ensure meals, and care, continue every single day.
• Follow along as we count down to 30 million.
• Be part of what comes next.
• Join our Nourish Network to help us reach 30 million meals and to strive for 30 million more in years to come.

Summer has officially begun! Texas summers can often become uncomfortable, and temperatures can even turn dangerous.

As temperatures begin rising across North Texas, many seniors and adults with disabilities in our community are preparing for another long summer without reliable air conditioning.

For many of the neighbors we serve, staying cool isn’t as simple as adjusting the thermostat. Some are living with broken AC units they cannot afford to replace. Others are trying to stretch fixed incomes far enough to cover rising electric bills during triple-digit temperatures.

This summer, we’re launching our Keep Tarrant County Cool campaign to help provide:
• Fans
• Window AC units
• $150 electric bill assistance
Because no one should have to choose between staying safe and paying their bills.

You can purchase much-needed cooling supplies directly from our Amazon Wishlist.
https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/216UGCVFHNZXL/ref=hz_ls_biz_ex

Every item purchased from our Amazon Wishlist ships directly to us and is distributed to local seniors and adults with disabilities in need.

Over the next few months, we’ll be sharing stories, heat safety tips, and ways you can help protect vulnerable neighbors during the hottest time of the year.

Together, we can bring comfort, relief, and safety to homes across our community. This summer let’s keep Tarrant County Cool and help our neighbors in need stay safe and stay cool!

Earlier today Meals On Wheels received a special proclamation from the Tarrant County Commissioners Court celebrating our 30 Millionth meal served.

Since 1973, Meals On Wheels has been serving the elderly, disabled and home bound residents of Tarrant County. What began as serving 25 meals that first day has climbed to now 30 million. A BIG thank you to all of our TRIO staff, volunteers, MOW staff, board members and donors, we couldn't have done it without you!

As part of Pet Appreciation Week, we encourage you to spend quality time with your pet.

Spending quality time with your pet is important. It creates a bond and allows you to form a special relationship with your pet. For dogs, taking your canine to a local dog park is a good way to socialize him or simply let him be a dog around other dogs.

Whatever pet you have, spend some extra time playing, going on walks, taking car rides, or whatever else your particular pet enjoys.

For more information on our Companion Pet Meals program or to make a donation, visit our website.

Today is the start of National Pet Appreciation Week!

It is a week-long celebration dedicated to honoring the unconditional love, joy, and companionship that our furry, feathered, and scaled friends bring into our lives.

Take the time to show your pet some love today (like we don’t already) with hugs, snuggles and an extra treat.
