October is National Principals Month, and we are celebrating the leaders at the heart of our campuses!

Every day, our principals and campus leaders support students and staff, lead with purpose, and help create schools where every student knows they belong. Their dedication and impact reach far beyond the classroom.

We are looking for vendors! We want to make this year's return of the craft fair the best year ever! If you are a vendor, know a vendor, like to plan craft fairs, or just want to help out where needed, please message us! THIS IS AN AWESOME OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS TO EARN HOURS FOR THEIR GRADUATION CORD!

Mark your calendars for Friday, October 16th, from 5:30–7:00 PM for an evening of fall fun at Spicer Fall Fest!

We are looking for volunteers to help make this event extra special. You can volunteer by hosting a Trunk-or-Treat vehicle or helping with one of our school booths. Volunteers will receive five free tickets to use at a PTA ticketed booth!

Come dressed in your cutest fall outfit or a school-appropriate Halloween costume. We are planning fun activities including:
- Face painting, Colored hair spray
- Surprise Boo Bags
- Arts & Crafts
- Games and more

The more volunteers we have, the more fun we can provide for our students and families! Please share this post with family, friends, and neighbors.

Local businesses are also welcome to be a vendor by sponsoring a Trunk-or-Treat vehicle and handing out candy, please fill out the information in the QR Code.

❤️💙💛 **OCTOBER IS PRINCIPAL APPRECIATION MONTH!** 💛💙❤️

We are so lucky to have the amazing **Mrs. Newland** leading our Spicer family! Throughout October, we’ll be celebrating her and showing her just how much she means to our students and staff. 🐴❤️

🍂 **WEEK 1 — “Leaf It to Us to Say… We Appreciate You!”**
📅 Notes due **Thursday, October 8th**
Staff will find a leaf in their mailbox. Write Mrs. Newland a sweet note of appreciation and add it to her door by Thursday! Let’s fill her door with reminders of how much she means to Spicer. 🍁❤️

Let’s fill Spicer with a little extra sunshine and make Mrs. Newland’s day BRIGHT! ☀️

📝 **WEEK 3 — Notes From Our Colts**
📅 **Monday, October 19th – Friday, October 23rd**
Each grade level will receive sticky notes for students to write a sweet note, positive word, or draw a picture for Mrs. Newland. Each grade will also receive a letter to decorate with their notes. Together, we’ll spell **N-E-W-L-A-N-D!** ❤️💙💛
Please return completed letters to a 5th grade teacher by **Friday, October 23rd**.

👗☕ **WEEK 4 — Dress Like Mrs. Newland!**
📅 **Friday, October 30th**
Come dressed like Mrs. Newland for a little fun as we celebrate her! We’ll wrap up Principal Appreciation Month with a special **CLAP-OUT** to recognize our amazing principal! 👏❤️

Mrs. Newland, thank you for your leadership, your heart, and everything you do for our students, staff, and families.
