Song of the Week: “Exceedingly Abundantly” by Hall/Johnson

Scripture: “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think…” — Ephesians 3:20

Devotional: This song is especially meaningful to our church family because it was written by our Worship Pastor, Cameron Hall, along with his father, Ricky Hall, and several others. What a beautiful picture of faith being passed down from generation to generation! We found this very fitting as we draw near to Father’s Day! Life often leaves us with unanswered questions and uncertain paths, but this week’s song reminds us that God’s plans are greater than anything we could imagine. Based directly on Ephesians 3:20-21, “Exceedingly Abundantly” points our hearts to the truth that God is always working, even when we cannot see it. As you listen and sing this week, be reminded that the God who hears your prayers is able to do far more than you could ever ask or think. Trust Him in the waiting, and give Him the glory—forever and ever.

Prayer: Father, thank You for being able to do more than we could ever ask or imagine. Help us to trust You when we don’t understand and to rest in Your perfect plans. Open our eyes to see Your hand at work and may Your name be glorified in our lives and in Your church. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Song of the Week:
“Behold the Lamb” by Kristian Stanfill

Scripture:
“Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world” John 1:29.

Devotional:
Throughout Scripture, lambs were used as sacrifices to cover the sins of God’s people. Year after year, sacrifices had to be offered because sin continued to separate humanity from a holy God. But when Jesus came, everything changed. In “Behold the Lamb”, Kristian Stanfill invites us to fix our eyes on Jesus—the perfect Lamb of God. He is not just another sacrifice; He is the final sacrifice. Through His death on the cross and His resurrection from the grave, Jesus paid the price for our sins once and for all. The word “behold” means more than simply looking. It means to stop, pay attention, and gaze with wonder. In a world full of distractions, it’s easy to lose sight of who Jesus is and what He has done for us. We can become consumed with schedules, responsibilities, worries, and even ministry work. Yet this song calls us back to the cross and reminds us to stand in awe of the Savior. When we behold the Lamb, we see God’s incredible love on display. We see grace that we did not earn and mercy we do not deserve. We see a King who humbled Himself to save us. And when we truly understand what Jesus has done, worship becomes our natural response. This week, don’t just sing about Jesus—take time to behold Him. Reflect on His sacrifice, His goodness, and His faithfulness. Let your heart be filled with gratitude as you remember that the Lamb who was slain is also the risen King who reigns forever.

Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for being the Lamb of God who took away my sin. Help me to slow down and truly behold You this week. Open my eyes to Your love, Your grace, and Your sacrifice. May my worship be rooted in gratitude for all You have done for me. In Your name, Amen.

Challenge for the Week:
Spend a few minutes each day reading one of the Gospel accounts of Jesus’ final days before the cross (Matthew 26–28, Mark 14–16, Luke 22–24, or John 18–21). As you read, ask yourself: What does this teach me about the Lamb of God? Then thank Him specifically for the ways He has changed your life.

🐻If you look closely, you can spot several of our praise team and choir members out in the wild this week!🫎

One of the greatest blessings is seeing our Worship Ministry members serve not only on the stage, but off the stage. From leading worship on Sundays to loving and serving kids during VBS, they continually use their gifts to point others to Jesus.

Of course we couldn’t get a picture of every single worship ministry member who served, but we are so thankful for their willingness to serve wherever they were needed this past week. What a joy it is to do ministry together!🤍
