There are many blessings I have received over the last 10 years in being a part of Beds of Hope. One of the most impactful happened
today at our church. A lady I know came up to Aliece, my wife, and handed her a simple envelope with Beds of Hope on the front. Aliece gave it to me and I waited until we got home to open it.
Inside was a check for over $4,000.00.
There was a note that said, "Recently a young girl ran a red light and totaled my 14-year-old car. This car was full of laughter and memories... not to mention lots of dog hair! I can still see which window and which place each of the many dogs I loved through the years positioned themselves to enjoy a car ride.
Because of that, I could not see dumping a check into a bank account and have it dissolve into nothing lasting or of value. The Lord and I talked it over and we decided that my car and its memories could live on by being beneficial to the people your group serves. It's the cash value of my memories, but in your hands, it will mean so much more. Thank you. ### X"
I was so absolutely touched by this unexpected blessing. I felt I had to share it with anyone who knows about Beds of Hope.
I hope it inspires all of us to continue following our call to provide beds to children in need.
