Position on the 4 Day School Week: I know that this has been a very passionate and emotional topic for everyone in our district. I understand the passion around this topic! I believe we should all be passionate about our children and the education they receive from the school district. The school board has already approved Plan A of the 4-day school week for next year (2024) school year. Plan A was to keep everything the same as this year. I believe this was the correct decision. I know there is a lot of opinions on the 4-day school week and what's best for the district. Whether you are for, or against, the 4-day week, I believe it was important to keep things the same for the next year or two. This gives the district time to collect the data and see if this is helping the issue of teacher retention that was facing the district. It also allows the district to collect the data on student education to see if there is any correlation between the 4-day week and the education of our students. Once we have all the information, we will be able to make a fact-based decision on the future, and if this is the correct direction to continue! I believe with all decisions made by the board and district it needs to be grounded in facts and not an emotional response to the problems that we face.

Bond Construction Prop B: With my education and work history I will be able to ensure the bond improvements are constructed and administered correctly. I have a lot of experience with contract administration and construction. I have worked with design teams/firms, construction companies, contracts, and excavators extensively in my career. I have been able to handle issues as they arise and be a good steward of the taxpayer's money. I know that I will be able to make sound decisions for the district as well as planning for the future regarding Prop B.
