At True Colors Youth & Outreach Center, our programs, outreach, and the community we serve extend far beyond any one group. We welcome individuals and families from all backgrounds, beliefs, and walks of life.

Our mission has always been simple: to create a safe, supportive, and welcoming place where people feel valued, respected, and accepted for who they are.

Pride Month is an important reminder that there are still people who feel alone, misunderstood, or afraid of being rejected because of who they are. Every person deserves to know they have worth. Every person deserves kindness. Every person deserves a place where they belong.

That is what True Colors strives to be.

This Saturday, we invite our community to join us as we plant our Memorial Garden in honor of Kelsey McCarthy.

Kelsey was the kind of person who made a difference without seeking recognition. She volunteered her time, supported local organizations, helped families in need, and always looked for ways to make life a little better for those around her.

The Memorial Garden is our way of honoring her legacy and creating a space that reflects the kindness, generosity, and compassion she shared with so many.

Last week, participants began creating their own original skits, characters, and storylines. Throughout June, we'll continue developing those performances and preparing for our showcase at the end of the month.

Whether you're returning from last week or joining us for the very first time, we'd love to have you be part of the fun. New participants are always welcome!

Beginning at 7:00 PM tonight and continuing through 7:00 PM tomorrow, our community will come together for NEPA Gives, a 24-hour online giving event supporting nonprofits across Northeastern Pennsylvania.

True Colors Youth & Outreach Center is proud to be participating, and every donation made during NEPA Gives helps us continue creating opportunities, programs, and safe spaces for youth and families throughout our community.

What a great start to our first True Colors Tuesday Performing Arts Club!

Last night, our participants got to dive into the creative process by developing their very own skits. With guidance from our volunteers, they created characters, built storylines, and began writing original scripts that reflect their own ideas and personalities.

Throughout the month, they’ll continue refining their performances, building confidence, and learning more about storytelling, teamwork, and stage performance. Next week, they’ll begin selecting props and rehearsing their skits as they work toward their final performance on June 30th.

A special thank you goes out to our Anonymous Snack Donor, who generously provided pizza for the group last night. Your kindness helped make the evening even more special for our youth, and we truly appreciate your support.

As our summer TC Tuesdays programs continue, we are looking for additional snack sponsors and donors to help provide refreshments for our participants. Whether you’d like to sponsor one evening or contribute toward multiple programs, we’d love to hear from you. Community support helps make opportunities like these possible for local youth.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our first night. We can’t wait to see these young performers bring their stories to life over the coming weeks!
