Troop 500 kayaking and camping trip.

Troop 500 is planning to do a kayaking trip around Lake Waccamaw on the weekend of March 22nd. We have several Scouts and adult leaders who don't have a kayak and I'm hoping that there will be some folks who have one and are willing to let us borrow it for that weekend. If you live anywhere close to Lake Waccamaw and are willing to help please inbox me. Thanks!!!

Ron's Eagle Project was to restore the John A. McNeill III nature trail located beside the Columbus Christian Academy campus in Whiteville. Work included cutting undergrowth, filling in numerous holes that had been dug in the ground and removing nails from trees that where left from when the area was used a a haunted trail back when Waccamaw Academy owned the property, and repairing the bridges, stage, and benches. Fourteen of his fellow Scouts and ten adult leaders from Troop 500 helped Ron with his project!

Troop 500 will hold it's Scout Recognition Sunday tomorrow at Hallsboro United Methodist Church, which is our sponsor organization. We will have a concert by Curtis Campbell starting at 10am followed by worship service at 11am. Immediately following the worship service we will have a luncheon in honor of our Scouts and leaders in the church fellowship hall. Everyone is welcome. PLEASE COME OUT AND SHOW YOUR SUPPORT FOR ALL THE HARD WORK (AND GOOD DEEDS) OUR SCOUTS DO THROUGHOUT THE YEAR!!!

Toured an aircraft carrier, a destroyer, and a submarine just outside of Charleston, SC; went on a late night ghost tour of Savannah, GA; walked on the beach, climbed to the top of a lighthouse, and toured an old fort on Tybee Island, GA; did a trolley and walking tour of Savannah, ate a great meal at the famous Pirate House, and attended a worship service at the historical Wesley Monumental Methodist Church in downtown Savannah, GA. How is that for a weekend with Troop 500?
