MOGA is pleased to announce they recieved the most votes in the Orange Category of the Old Hallowell Days Parade. Congratulations for receiving 1st place MOGA.

So we thought helium was our parade balloon gas this year....however it is too expensive and MOGA's membership did not approve of the extra expense. Hydrogen was the next option, but a tougher gas to get..... and we don't want history to repeat itself? or do we? So we think acetylene, which is lighter than air, will be easier to get and if MOGA has balloons in the parade, they should make for a nice "pop" when they land...stay clear!!

For everyone joining MOGA in the Old Hallowell Days parade on Saturday July 16, 2022, we will be in position #39 and will stage at the Hallowell Cemetery between 9:15 AM and 9:30 AM. The plan is to walk the route alongside our Marmalady (Queen of the Orange Grove) in an antique orange Ford pickup. The parade starts at 10:00 AM. Looking forward to some fun and seeing you there!

MOGA Meeting is scheduled for Thursday July 7, 2022 @ 5 PM at the Liberal Cup in Hallowell, Maine. (Head Office). The meeting is to finalize arrangements and details for the MOGA Parade (aka Old Hallowell Days parade). Hope to see you there!

Great MOGA meeting tonight. It was wonderful to see some "new" members at the meeting. We even had attendance straight from Tennessee.....and we're expecting a new "sister" organization to
spring up there. :-)

Our parade preparations continue. July 16, 2022 is the parade date....Old Hallowell Days!!! We have our Marmalady set for the float and some walkers are ready. We need more walkers. (Mark Walker and Kara Tudman Walker ......we don't mean you!!!) Let's make this the biggest MOGA event ever!!!! Wear
ORANGE !!!!! We plan to set up near the graveyard on Water Street by 9 am on the morning of the event. (The graveyard is no indication of how quickly we will move in the parade... we plan to move solemnly, answer questions with "What's that young laddie?" and hand out candy to young children).
