🌈 🐗 💦☀️ Charlotte is making the most of summer by splashing in her pool and soaking up the sunshine! Moments like these remind us why we continue this mission, even through some of life’s hardest seasons.
Many of you know that December changed our lives forever with the loss of our daughter, Marina. The love, support, prayers, and kindness we received from this community helped carry us through some of our darkest days. We will never be able to adequately express how grateful we are for each and every one of you.
Recently, our family faced another heartbreaking loss during our fertility journey when we experienced a miscarriage. While navigating grief has not been easy, the animals at Pearl’s Preserve continue to depend on us every single day. Their snorts, happy grunts, and excitement for pool days remind us that love continues, even after loss.
What many people don’t realize is that Pearl’s Preserve receives only about $500 in monthly donations, while our feed bill alone averages around $2,000 each month. That doesn’t include straw, pools, enrichment items, fencing repairs, maintenance, utilities, or the unexpected veterinary visits that inevitably arise when caring for so many animals.
Every bag of feed, every bale of straw, every pool filled with fresh water, and every veterinary bill is made possible through the generosity of people who care. If you’ve ever shared one of our posts, donated, volunteered, sent supplies, or simply followed along and cheered us on, thank you. You are part of every happy moment these pigs experience.
